Faderfox drivers>? where are they?

Post by postmixformula » Sat Apr 19, 2008 2:36 am

Just wondering if Ableton will ever release Faderfox drivers? What does everyone else think?

I've gotten by and will continue to.. just be good to see Ableton respond to these worthy surfaces.

yeh

I am at level 6.0.10.

works like a charm, and no money to upgrade level 7. but no faderfox native support.

I heard that ableton were working on an upgrade for live 6 owners, upgrade including some more control surfaces support, like faderfox.

and I'm still waiting for this upgrade that probably will never be released? :?

dummy me !

I'm not sure if this will work, but you could try it anyway.

download the latest demo of L7, install, but don't bother opening it.
go to
Live 7.0.5\Resources\MIDI Remote Scripts

on a PC at least

grab the two obvious folders that work with faderfox gear, and paste them into your Live6 \resources\MIDI Remote Scripts folder

it most likely wont work, but then there is a reasonable chance that his will work fine. Give it a go!

:o

okay I'll try it, good idea.

if I can get lights feedback on my LV2 for the mute, solos, on/off buttons, then with my feedback lighted padkontrol I can totally avoid checking at the screen :)

cool

thanks angstrom

Small tip, copy the folders "LV2_LX2..." and "LV1_LX1" from the live7 application in MIDI Remote Scripts to the live6 folder, and MAGIC!!

So what those drivers can do compared to regular LV2 setup ? I am in mid of experiment- going back to ver.5 and dont want to destroy my new clean setup with ver.6/7 mismanagement and other messy stuff(took me 1 and half year to take this monumental decision to cut that short and get back to Live that works the way I want and not me working the software wants)
Could someone post those Faderfox files from ver.7 ?
