Here is my problem.
The note numbers on my MPC are randomly scattered thru the pads on all 4 banks.
I read the manual and it says that the presets are as follows.
PAD A (BANK A)
(pads)1-16=(note numbers)35-50
PAD B (BANK B)
(pads)1-16=(note numbers)51-66
PAD C (BANK C)
(pads)1-16=(note numbers)67-82
PAD D (BANK D)
(pads)1-16=(note numbers)83-98
This is not the case when ever I turn on the MPC.
The note numbers are all crazy thru out the banks.
Why? How do I restore to presets?
I just updated the os on my mpc 2000xl (via floppy) to 1.14.
And this did not fix my problem.
BTW
Why am I posting this question here?
Because, I want to use the MPC with Ableton and this forum kicks ass..
Thanks guys
MPC 2000xl programming question
check chapter 7 in the 2000xl manual.... your right the default program loads in midi notes all over the place... with seemingly no rhyme or reason.... which is a drag...
You have to make and save a new program..... where the pads are transmitting the midi notes that you want...
i ended up making a default program that was chromatic....starting at C1 and going all the way up thru the 64 pads....
one hip thing about the drums racks in live 7....is it will take any incoming midi note and adjust which note it will trigger in ableton.... so if our using live 7....you could approach it that way... page 200 in the Live 7 manual... the input / output section
2000xl with live is a great combo
good luck
