what is one of the best sound card for a dell xps m1730....right now i have high definition sound audio....<-------basic sound card from dell

if you are in the $1000-$2000 range, go for an RME product

Prism is one of the best (is a lot more expensive than your PC).

RME everybody agrees on, on this board, as the former poster stated.

It all depends on your budget and what you need.
Do you need mic pre's? If so, how many?
