Problem!!! Midi mapping!!! Help plz!!!

Post by rob lee » Mon Apr 28, 2008 12:30 pm

hi im having a problem here:
when i open up an instance of v station and assign what i need to assign to the axiom 61 all is fine until i then open up another midi track with another instance of v station...when im twiddling the knobs on the first instance of v station the knobs on the second instance turn aswell even though the second instance is on another midi channel...what's going on i only noticed this last night? is it live or the axiom? im at a loss to figure it out..
example:
ch 1 drumrack
ch2 v station bass with midi mapping assigned
ch3 v station lead with no midi mapping

although i turn the knobs on ch 2 which have been mapped the knobs on ch 3 which i did not assign anything tweak as im moving controllers on ch 2

no idea whether this is live or the axiom causing this..
any help is most appreciated

Just one "dumb" question: Are you filtering the midi channel in Live, or in the VSTi?
In the midi input section on each midi track there should be a midi channel selector as well.

If all the tracks are set to all inputs/all channels this is probably where the problem is. Live will then receive the controller information regardless of which channel you are transmitting on, and then relay it to channel 1 on the tracks that are monitored...

I guess that you have already tried this though, just trying to rule out things...
MBP 15,4 2,4, 4GB Ram, Ultralite, 828mk3, 8pre, Axiom 61, Triton Extreme 76 - Live Suite, Legacy Collections, B4 II
