Guess there should be no studies done on this sort of thing.

Maybe just spend the funds on the GWOT or another case of cluster bombs.

yeah, the US with a whopping #97... not much of a surprise, although it made me pause for a minute when I saw that the US ranks BELOW Mexico.

Other interesting positions: Russia is #131 out of 140, scoring LOWER than friggin Columbia! Ouch!

of the top 20 countries, props to Germany and Japan for being serious exporters of technology and having an impact on the rest of the world. as opposed to a country like Denmark who are pretty insignificant in the global scheme. it's easy to keep your hands clean when you don't do a goddamn thing. their best export are .alp files that install right half the time.
:P DOH!!

edit - I guess it helps to lose a few wars and have your military dismantled.

1: flame the peaceful, happy dudes, who don't give a fuck.
2: wikipedia
3:...?
4: Profit!

I reckon Liberty City would rank oh, let's say Iraq-ish on that scale. But I guess you can claim responsibility for both of those, huh?

i was just referring to the top 3. I was actually surprised we were in the top 100. We seem to have South Park syndrome: "Oh my god, it's coming right for us! Shoot it!"

working on that one, I didn't get access to RPGs until last night.

look at it this way, the US can only get higher in that list right? I hope? <gulp> once we get monkey boy Bush to stop wiping his ass with the Geneva Convention.

the 'number of people jailed' statistic is bothersome, I'm aware of prison overcrowding in the US but on a worldwide scale it rates that high? scary...

The thing to remember about the United States, which people tend to forget, is we're a very unique country. Lots of different people from different cultures. The question shouldn't be, "Why aren't we getting along?" but, "Is there any real way we can get along."

there's lots of violence, crime, and a general disregard for your neighbors well being, but none of that is natively American.

...and, unless you live in some of the poorest ghettos you really don't get to see violence on a day to day basis.

So, so true.

Like I always say, it's easy to fucking have peace and harmony in countries like Iceland, Denmark, and Norway - where there's like 5 people, all of them are white, and they're constantly blasted out of their minds drunk because there's just fuck-all to do in those places except drink.

Which is not exactly true for Belgium, still we're in the top 20. Silent racism is very wide spread and we don't get along with our fellow Belgians who speak a different language all together. Still we're in the top 20.
