hi folks.
today i bought FL studio. now, im very new to everything. have been using software for about a year. i obviously own ableton 7.
right, this is what i wana know.
what can i do using FL and ableton at the same time? can i connect them? if so, how do i do that? what happens when i do it? what are the positives in connecting (making fl a slave? ) fl studio to ableton?
might look like a silly uestion, but i want to know.
cheers,

FL studio and ableton.
Yes you can use them at the same time. FL Studio also is available as a VST. You can drop it into any MIDI track as an instrument, and it will sync to Ableton (the host).
You can send MIDI to the various instruments in your FLStudio channels by arming the Live track and routing your midi input to that track.
A hint-- to open up the FLS VSTi inteface, click on the kumquat. But, to close it, use the little "X" button towards the upper left, or else there is huge nasty glitch. Really.
[edit] you can also do the rewire thing, I'm more happy using it as a vst.
