Ethernet seems to cause "hiccup" in jamming with 2

Hi - we jam with 2 Macs that are synced via ethernet, we're running latest software versions. Just once in a while we've noticed a "hiccup", where the sound stops momentarily and then resumes, I'm not sure if it's ethernet related, but it does only seem to happen when we're synced up. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this? BTW, we are not loading instruments or anything when these things occur. They seem to happen randomly, also our jams are long, sometimes over 1 hour, could it be caused by some sort of auto-save? It kind of feels like that. TIA, Ed
