arrangement view

Post by iamausername » Sat Jun 07, 2008 2:00 pm

sometimes I want to use the session view to preview a new section of my song after I have already layed the song out in arrangement view.

however, if I start to play it, it plays both the session view and the arrangement view, so I have to find an empty part of my song and loop it, or start it playing after my song has finished so it only plays the clips i choose in the session.

anyone have a better way of doing it than this, or is there a way to stop the actual song from playing (eg: pause the arrangement view)

man I suck at explaining stuff.

when I sequence things I usually leave 16 bars or so blank at the beginning of the arrangement view. That way, I can loop the beginning in session view and not get any spill from tracks in the arrange.

the "stop all clips" button is also stopping all layed out in the arrangement. Press it once, then start whatever you want to hear in session-view. You can press the back to arrangement-button and the arrangement will play again.
