About Daniel
Daniel Büttner is a sound designer, bassist and composer based in Berlin, Germany. He graduated from Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (UK), Musikhochschule Köln (D) and New York University (USA), where he studied performance and music composition with Dr. Tom Boras and Jim McNeely. As a bassist, Daniel is grateful to have performed classical and improvised music throughout Europe and New York, including performances with Mauricio Kagel, the Ensemble Modern Academy, Sian Edwards, Gunther Schuller, and many more.
For the past 2 years, Daniel has been working for Ableton where he is in charge of the Sound Team. His previous employers include Emagic and Apple. He is actively performing with focus on improvised acoustic and electronic music.
About Micah
Micah Frank is a Brooklyn based sound designer, composer and electronic music performer. Conjoining his sonic experimentation with precision drumming, Micah has played internationally under the name Kamoni (www.kamoni.net), using a unique combination of percussion hardware controllers, synthesizers and Ableton Live.
Being part of Ableton's sound development team since 2004, Micah launched Puremagnetik (www.puremagnetik.com), a pioneering sound content subscription service with a focus on sample programs and presets for the Live platform.
His work as a sound designer and live performer has been highly praised and featured in Electronic Musician, Sound on Sound, XLR8R, Remix, Computer Music, Knowledge, Keys and other publications.
