Looking for Laptop stands, recommendations??
So I'm looking to get a laptop stand which could also hold 2-3 midi controllers as well.. Are there any that you folks could recommend? I guess to give you an idea on what size I'm looking at...
I have a 15" Macbook Pro, a Korg PadKontrol, and a Remote SL Zero (no keys, just interface). May from time to time include a Presonus Firebox too.. not always though...

MacBook Pro M3 Max, Scarlett 4i4 4th Gen, Ableton Move, LaunchPad Pro MK3, Behringer Edge, TecWav noise synth, Crank Sturgeon Plug Ugly contact mic, and oodles of effects pedals.
is it for live or studio use
if its for studio id recomend a desk
live use, perhaps a keyboard stand with something across the gap
or one of those 2 leveled keyboard stands.
i mean a keyboard stand with 10milimeter mdf seccured down would do the job,
and cheap
or do you want something very professional looking?

Hi, I've bee thinking of making a sort of 'net' type of stand for my laptop. Something to allow a decent amount of airflow, to keep it cooler as now it's summer here the ambient temperature is high... There are laptop stands that have fans in them to help keep your lappie cool.. However the fans run off USB, and I'm thinking that might add to the problem, ie making you lappie work harder than normal.. So that's why I'm thinking a DIY style hanging net type thing..

I have two of these and love them...both for the studio and live. They have interchangeable clamps and flat feet for either jsut sitting on a desk or being clamped to the edge of a desk.

I have 2 sets, both Quiklok, light -for MPK49 and SL and with 2 more trays for laptop and soundcard and other stuff- takes a minute to set
http://www.quiklok.com/catalog/?p=produ ... e=QL-690-0
my complete stage/studio set has a dozen extensions- left right up, down, nearly all of the listed extensions, trays, rack frame etc . Takes around 10 minutes to setup, has wheels so after soundcheck can be pushed away.

Thanks for asking, didn't know there is such double tray for the speakers, must get it for my smaller set will be ideal for MPC and similar stuff.

Saw one of those before and thought it was the coolest keyboard stand I'd seen - quite expensive though are they not?fatrabbit wrote:I have one of these and put the laptop on the top stand...

I think I got mine for £120-130 or somewhere around there. VERY sturdy though. That thing is not going to fall over (and it's all self-contained so it looks like a bazooka when you carry it around).mkelly wrote:Saw one of those before and thought it was the coolest keyboard stand I'd seen - quite expensive though are they not?fatrabbit wrote:I have one of these and put the laptop on the top stand...
