I will need to look into this further but for now Im looking to see if anyone has had this problem, for djs and dance music producers, it can be a really big problem.
Lets say you are summing your mixes into hardware outside the box, therefore you are not rendering the mix but rather resampling. You got live consistently in the 40% cpu and sometimes spikes higher. When live spikes or is near 40-59% cpu, is it possible that the integrity of the timing is off?
The way I have discovered this is: Summing outside the box and giving that mix to a dj to test and them telling me its a liitle difficult to lock it up. Also bringing it into ableton to dj and noticing abletons warp markers are not lining up properly, even after I specified the exact tempo that I used to produce the track in Ableton.
