Got a new job... lots of AV stuff for sale... and free!

Post by hambone1 » Wed Jul 30, 2008 5:30 pm

Just got a new job doing Authorware/Director/Maya courseware development in the UAE, and the Live AV experience helped to secure it!

Six-figure US$ tax-free salary + apartment, car, utilities, housekeeper, trips home supplied... couldn't say no, even though it means living in the desert!

Anyways, I'll have tons of AV stuff on eBay after next month's functions.

Way to go!

Ask questions if they start asking you to create 3D renderings of the Sears tower, Altocha station, London transit systems or (depending on when you start) Bejing.

I'm thinking about ditching everything and going back to Motown/jazz/funk trumpet again... my first musical love and college major (a LONG time ago!)... one small item to carry to gigs by motorcycle...

Will this gear come with a certified embossed "Used by hambone1" sticker with unit number?

I'm sorry, aren't we talking about the UAE? You must have thought he meant the desert in the USA. That would make sense.

Some ideas of what you may be listing?
Ableton’s engineers are hard
at work developing code that will allow our software to predict the future, but we don’t
anticipate having this available until at least the next major release.

LX-2, BCR-2000, FCB-1010, Yamaha 01V w/mLAN card, lots of PA (RCF), MBP, G5 with 3 video capture cards, Mac Mini, Cinema Display, external drives, remote PTZ cameras (Sony EVI-D70), Dell laptop (remote camera control), projectors, fast-fold screens, tons of DMX lighting, AKG wireless mics, Yamaha DD-55, MIDI interfaces, MIDI>DMX interface, miles of cables, flight cases, software... and a van to put it all in!

Will list it all here and over at the VJ Forum before it hits eBay.

No, I know what the United Arab Emirates is. It was an off color joke. Non-politically correct. Forgive me for implying that all hajis, I mean Arabs are terrorists.

Man, tough crowd. Gobama!

…6 figure income? What? Fuck this DJ shit. I'm selling everything and moving on with my life!
:D

I'm totally stoked about your upcoming yard sale…..but then I realized you live across the pond and shipping will probably be a fortune….and throw in the US toilet paper dollar

But I'd sure love to get my hands on some genuine vintage hambone1 gear..especially lights.
