ChordSpace plugin: is it MIDI or audio?
I just downloaded the ChordSpace VST plugin. I can't get it to work.
Is it a MIDI or an audio plugin? When I dropp it on a MIDI track, it turns it into an audio track. No sound is coming out of it.
I found no docs on the ChordSpace site. Support seems to be via email only.
Could anyone actually use the ChordSpace plugin?

It's a midi generating softsynth, no audio. Here's the step by step:
1. Create 2 midi tracks
2. Rename track 1 to Chordspace and put an instance of Chordspace in it
3. Rename track 2 to CS Midi (or whatever name that helps you remember that Chordspace will dump the midi INTO that 2nd track).
4. Set the output of Chordspace track to CS Midi.
5. Either record enable or set monitor IN for CS Midi.
6. Record enable Chordspace track and play keys C2-C3 (it's on the plugin, which keys will actually trigger chordspace...
So what happens? You play a note, and Chordspace spits out midi chords, which then get recorded onto the 2nd track. For instant gratification, put any softsynth in CS Midi and it'll play the output of Chordspace.

Live's Chord plug let's you make a predefined chord from one note...Chordspace has an interface taht helps you create all sorts of chords, chord changes, and wonderful sustains, and ninths and shit...helps with inspiration and happy accidents are welcome. It's a nice tool.beats me wrote:Does this do something that Live's chord plug-in can't do?
Now I can hear sound coming out of track 2 (Old School) when I play outside the note range defined in ChordSpace. When I play inside the note range defined in ChordSpace, some chord are selected in the ChordSpace screen, but no sound is heard.nebulae wrote:Set the monitor for track 2 (old school) to In and make sure there's a synth plugin in there.
I still have to figure out how this plugin works.
