Drum map clean up feature

Post by Bran richards » Tue Aug 19, 2008 11:29 pm

ok i hope this makes sense.

Im using "slice to midi" quite a bit , the problem i have is i end up with a lot of unused slices. at the moment im manually removing them to free up memory but if i have 30 plus slices it can take a while, not to mention the time it takes to work out which are in use and which are not. It would be good if there was a feature that could intelligently work out which are in use by checking if the slice\cell has any corresponding midi notes so upon selecting 'clean up' it would remove all slices that are not being sequenced

It might sound like a small problem but its very time consuming

On an unrelated note,

Drum Rack Midi clips in the piano roll need to be able to be folded like other midi tracks to hide unused notes.

Ableton needs to fix that because it makes it hard when you make those 128 note drum racks and have to sift through the piano roll to find your notes.
