Live 7.0.10 / Automap 2.1 / Novation RemoteSL 25 / Windows XP sp3
I have upgraded to version 7.0.10 and now have an error in the way my Automap and Live are working.
Within the Ableton browser all the VST plug-ins from within my selected VST folder were visible except the (automap) versions, although those these are clearly visible from Windows Explorer. I tried rescanning the folder, but it made no difference. I then renamed the VST folder and rescanned it - still no change.
I then uninstalled Ableton, Automap and Novation ReMote SL (latest version used), and re-installed them, Ableton first. On first starting Ableton after the re-installation, I could see it rescanning the VST plug-ins folder, including the (automap) versions of the plug-ins.
However, the problem still persists - I can see all the VST plug-ins apart from the Automap ones, even though they are all 'Automap enabled' within Automap and are visible via Windows Explorer.
If I select a VST device in Ableton, the blue hand indicating that the device is controllable from the Novation ReMote is displayed in the device's title bar, but the only control available on the ReMote on template 38 is one knob which allows the device to be 'On' or 'Off'. The controls are visible and correctly named on the Ableton non-automap template 40
I have twice more removed and re-installed Remote SL and Automap, but it has made no difference.
Have you any suggestions on how I can rectify this fault?

sorry for duplication!
I noticed a similar query from Ambien below after I posted my query - apologies for duplication.

Problem now fixed.
Not sure why this worked this time, and maybe all the stages weren't necessary, but I'm back in full working order (until the next time ... !)
After the latest re-installation, although I had done it previously, I removed all the plug-ins from the right side of the Automap plug-ins manager, closed it and Ableton, re-opened Ableton and scanned the VST folder (probably not necessary), then closed Ableton. Re-opened Ableton, restored all the available plug-ins in Automap's plug-in manager. Closed Ableton / Automap. Re-opened Ableton, rescanned VST folder, and all the automapped plug-ins were now back in the browser.
