Hi there
Im finding a major obstacle in my complete move to Live away from CDJs in that I dont want to touch my PC whilst doing a mix. My aim is to totally control file browsing, importing into one of my 2 channels (deck a and deck b), and then starting them... using my Xsession Pro
I have downloaded and had a go at Bomes midi controller, but thats really tricky to configure
Any help here would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

thinking about the same thing (just bought x-session pro). you can assign select scene for one of the knobs (default live feature - very nice), then there must be some trick to select the track and then copy selected clip to "deck" a or b which can be two dedicated tracks- but that requires some third party midi manipulation / macros in my opinion.

im my signature theres a link to a tutorial for a non mouse/keyboard setup, navigating the browser and whatnots using a controller, midi yoke and bomes midi translator. its pretty basic, but it gets the job done. im sure that if you read it and modify the keyboard shortcuts youd be able to do a macro that copies and pastes an entire track to a selected desk, like the template that phat conductor has.
the tutorial also has midi resampling/playback in sessionview, which i know alot of people have been requesting, including myself

any chance you are willing to share the black/red skin you are using in the navigation tutorial shots?
thanks!
thanks!

Sorry to sound like a grump, but why are so many people not prepared to use their laptop to load up sounds from the browser.
I know it looks like your checking your e-mail, but it only takes a few seconds...
Personally I just click on the browser, then use the cursor arrows to move around incredibly quickly.
I really don't see the point in using buttons on a controller rather than buttons on your computer keyboard (however, a short cut to load the tracks from the browser into any track would be nice rather than having to drag them over).
There, had my moan for the day, and dang did it feel good!
