Re: Berlin music production school
Henri Hagenow is very knowledgeable and does seminars about electronic music production. Check http://www.brothers-in-music.de/CMS/node/29Wallace wrote:Hi,

Or contact them directly to ask about the next course: [email protected]
would you be willing to teach how to you make your beats groove the way they do? As they just make me wanna dance every single time.Deadbeat wrote:what exactly are looking to learn?
either way, thanks for making music.
to respond to the first poster, before taking any courses, i'd recommend trying to really analyze and understand songs you like. As how they are built, their structure, their sounds and how those interact with each other. Then learning about synhtesis could help to, but it's hard to tell if we don't know what you want to learn indeed.
thank you for the answers, very kind of you.
I've been making every kind of party for 3 months... so I've listened to a lot of great music
I also downloaded and listened carefully to the tracks that I like most.
Actually I'm making music since some years, but just the last one I took it quite seriously.
So I know very well ableton live, I've read tarekiths tutorial, I can handle decently sound synthesis and frequency manipulation.
What I really need now, would be to work with some professionists for improving my tracks, especially about rhythm, sounds and building "real" tracks.
Probably I've just to continue this work by myself, but maybe there are some school or places where you can meet other people that like to share their musical knowledge.
Thank you everyone.
Cheers and viel spaß

There is a SAE (school of audio engineering) in Berlin. They're an international school with premises all over the world. Their main thing is a studio engineering degree / diploma course, which some people say is the best in the industry - others say its a total waste of time and money (it's very expensive). I have a friend on the degree course currently in Amsterdam.
They now also do film making, game design, website design, etc, too.
International site:

Berlin site:

They've recently started doing short courses too, from some locations, including Berlin.among these are a dance music producer course & a hip hop producer course. I know absolutely nothing about them.
Main site:

Germany:

If you find out anything about these courses, maybe you could post here and let people know?
Personally, I think one of the most useful aspects about any course is meeting and working with other people you would not have met before....I have learnt more from my peers than my tutors with some of the courses I've done

That's why I was looking for something like a place for meeting with other musician or a little school.
Btw thank you for your answer
.... I'm sure they'll be interesting to talk to/play with.
