OT: late 80s/early 90s club classics suggestions
It's Fat Boy Slim on Brighton beach next weekend followed by a party at mine so I'm putting together a mix of club classics (the real ones, not the chart shit) and I need a few reminders/suggestions - to put this into context, if you were happily throwing tablets down your neck at the top clubs in the UK during the late 80s/early 90s (hacienda, cream, back to basics, music factory, etc.) and the equivalent in the US then please do me a favour and list your favourite tunes from the golden days. Thanks.

Probably a chart song but how can you avoid playing Opus 3 It's a Fine Day.
Ok, I'll add one a little less charty.

The decent 90s piano classics (NOT CHART!) are also welcome.

Youtube is being great to me tonight, finding tracks I've been looking for forever that I think would fit your vibe.
But can somebody please please tell me who did this classic (to me anyway)?

These songs are bringing me back to a time where I could dance and talk to women without first getting completely hammered.

bit of youtubism from shelleys, 1992, skip the first 30sec...the 'before moses' track comes in around 50sec; check the rave clowns at 1.24!

LOL? I'd say clubbing in the UK peaked somewhere between '92 to '97 - the early nineties were definitely the best times (the rave scene had finished by then), the clubs weren't full of pissed up idiots, just people up for a good night.j2j wrote:The 90s... LOL
Yup, been to all of them, looking forward to this, the last was on new year's day, absolutely pissed it down most of the night.BTW, Fatboy on Brighton is a dope ass party
Thanks all for the suggestions, keep 'em coming
