PSP Vintage Warmer 2.0 causing huge latency.

Post by Hometown Records NZ » Thu Oct 16, 2008 9:50 pm

Hey team,

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with PSP's Vintage Warmer causing latency? I have regularly used Vintage Warmer for pretty much ever but since moving up to ver. 2.0 I have had nothing but trouble. I am getting huge amounts of latency when adding it to any channel.
Basically the only way I can use it now is on the whole mix i.e. master channel. If I put it on any individual tracks it slows them down and puts the mix out of time. And even then I have to take it off the whole mix when recording or controlling outboard synths via midi.
it has turned itself into an end mastering tool, when I used to use it on every channel to shape.

Is the best way to fix this using the track delay function?

I know it's extremely resource hungry, but this is crazy.

Im running a macbook pro 2.33ghz, 3gb (667mhz) RAM, with leopard.
