coloring you clips and overview on small screens ?

i'm interested in how do you color your tracks and clips in arrangement view. what approach do you have. often i color different clips in the channels, other give all the clips in one channel same color, whats better in your opinion.

i work with a laptop and 15" screen so often i have the prob that the notes in midiclips in arrangement view aren't so well viewable that i color the different clips in channel to see it better, anyone of you has some good tips improve instant overview especially on a not a wide and big screen monitor

I make clips from the same source or take the same color. as I tweak them to make new ones I vary the color slightly. dark blue for the original, light blue for a tweaked version, etc.
