Thank you for your help!
I'm sorry but I forgot to mention that Username/Library/Audio has the exact same problem as mentioned about the system-wide folder. There's a VST folder with a few plugins in it but there is no VST3 folder. There are still a ton of plugins that work fine in Ableton that ...

Plugins Work But I Can't Find Them On Mac
After spending nearly an hour trying to install a plugin I've realized I have absolutely NO idea where most of my plugins are. Everything I've looked up says that they should be in Library/Audio/Plugins/

midi editing in 9
When editing midi grid snap doesn't seem to work at all. When drawing notes in it works, if 1/16 is set you can only draw in 1/16 notes for instance. When editing/moving notes in Live 8, if I remember correctly, you could set 1/32 or 1/8 triplet or whatever and the notes would snap to the grid, or ...

Re: Reaktor Ensembles not loading in Live
I mentioned before that any ensemble I try to load gives me a similar error. The Mouth, The Finger, Prism and Spark all work, the only instrument that doesn't work in Reaktor "Player" is Razor. As far as "cross posting" I posted this in the NI forums because I wasn't sure which community would be ...

Reaktor Ensembles not loading in Live
I updated Reaktor to 5.6.1 and the newest version of Live recently. Stupid I know, now I don't know which program this issue is coming from. Ensembles load in reaktor when in stand alone mode, but I get this message when trying to load them when using reaktor as a plugin in Live:

3rd party present recognition problem
I'm having some problems with Native Instruments Massive and Ableton Live. I downloaded some presets for Massive and had some problems locating the preset folder (I know that is an issue for the NI forum). I've managed to get the presets in a folder that allows me to open them in Massive when it's ...

Re: noteout object works for presets, not for my patches
hmmmm.... is what I thought. The problem is, if I understand correctly, that means you should just connect everything correctly and it should work without assigning anything, but I tried that. I'll have to check again, your statement makes it seem like it should be as easy as I thought it should be ...

noteout object works for presets, not for my patches
Forgive the noob question here please. I just started going through tutorials, and opening things up in edit mode to sift around in the patches. I tried making a simple patch from scratch and can't seem to get midi back into Live with ctlout, or noteout. These objects work fine for the preset ...

Re: mapping omnispheres parameters to midi controllers (or not)
feyshay, so that works for you? I can use omnispheres GUI in Logic, but it didn't seem to work in Live. I'll check again...

Re: mapping omnispheres parameters to midi controllers (or not)
I got omnisphere used and had to go through a long irritating process with spectrasonics to get the license transferred, so the registration process for me was different for me than it would be for most users. I don't remember having any problem with the challenge code after getting a new serial ...

mapping omnispheres parameters to midi controllers (or not)
I'm following the instructions to get omnispheres parameters mapped to midi controllers (using Lives configure button) only the MOST basic controls work. Master levels in omnispheres multi mixer. The configure option in Lives little plug-in device box doesn't seem to work with the parameters I ...

Re: export track automation from Logic to Ableton Live?
That's strange... As I indicated, I'm no expert at this, I never even did it, but I looked into it one afternoon a little. I don't see how you could be doing it "wrong" though, I'm mean if you are using the "move track automation data to region" command, that is what you should be doing. The manual ...

Thanks for the replies.
contakt321, to answer your question, there really isn't much to expand on. I imported an entire instrumental mix, and a vocal that myself and another producer had recorded and we edited the $#%! out of it. There was no autotuning, but the girl who sang on it ran through 6 ...

Should I upgrade?
I have a remix project I'll be starting on in the next month or so, and I'd love to use Live exclusively to do this. I usually use some feature in Live, but use Logic as my main host. Some of the new stuff in Live 8 would be helpful I think, but in live 7 I tried to import a long track for a song (a ...
