I have the adapter. Normal FW connectivity is just fine but bus power is totally device-dependent. My MOTU Ultralite mk3 does not work via bus power, nor does my Iomega eGo portable drive. An old FireLite drive works just fine via the adapter and bus power. My 3.5" FW drives also work fine.

I just went through this with a bunch of stuff i moved over from my MPC. Works great.

did a search but all i find is that version 8 added support for Cocoa plug-ins.. but is Ableton itself a Cocoa application?

never mind.. seems Cocoa is a application platform for OSX only.. and since Ableton is both PC/MAC, I assume it's written in some other code ...

Just curious if anyone has actually found one in stores yet, or owns one. I'm eager to know :)
