This sux. Nowdays I'm considering buying Cubase 4, because many people work with it (I'm a sound engineer) and I got to be able to recieve such projects. However, I prefer Live's mixer much better but I can't import OMFs into live. What's the point of making live support video and not adding OMF ...

If there was a way to make the BCR2000's encoders control CC numbers of the selected midi channel, that would be perfect. I don't think it can be done, though, I tried all things on "selected" channel category... Maybe I missed something???
I don't see why Cubase doesn't support Mackie's C4 :roll ...

I'm not a very experienced mixer, but I did make a complemetary General Midi setting for the BCR2000, considering you have a BCF2000 in Mackie mode emulation. I think it's will be very convenient. It shure hell beats controlling Pro Tools from Yamaha DM1000 in my school

Re: Mackie control for both BCR2000 and BCF2000
For my music I much prefer Ableton. When it comes to mixing other people's stuff, you have to go with an industry standartTone Deft wrote:First you have to tell us all the ways Ableton is better than a Nuendo or a Cubase (whatever those are.)adam_harzuf wrote:First of all, this one is for Nuendo/Cubase, not Live.

Mackie control for both BCR2000 and BCF2000
This post was originaly sent to Namihei, but I thought what the heck, maybe someone else can help as well.
First of all, this one is for Nuendo/Cubase, not Live. I know that there are some experienced people with the BCR2000 in here, so pardon for the "intrusion", Ableton

CPU light sampler?
Hello
I want to have one sampler per midi channel, which meens multiple instances of it. So it needs to be:
CPU light
Nice looping & moduation options- (responsive to velocity and maybe CC's)
ADSR's - I don't want to "draw" my envelope/s everytime. It's nice as an extra.

I tried all of the soft synths mentioned (including all of the leading Reaktor ensembles, stock or user library) except Zebra 2, and I think that NI Electronics Intruments Photone is the mother of all synths. I think that If there was a multitimbral hardware version, it would have entered the all ...
