Finale is a weird one.

You need to open a midi file directly (file> open), its not the usual 'import midi file'

When you choose to open the midi file, you will be presented with the options regarding how you want Finale to convert the midi data to notation.

I was thinking that. I don't see why not. Should be the same process. Sysex dump the mackie emulation preset to your computer, adjust the encoder resolution numbers and send it back to the BCF...

I just noticed, when I loaded Live to properly check out these new accelerated knobs,
the other controllers on the BCF (faders and buttons) are switched off. But when I program them back to On (CC), the rotaries are back to their slow state again.

one more thing... seeing as I seem to be among some BCF experts here :wink: , is there a way to set things up so that the buttons below the rotarys on the BCF truly relate to the buttons they are mapped to in Live?

agree with you completely. I've used Pro-Tools, Cubase, Nuendo and Logic, and in my opinion Live produces as good quality sound as any of them.

Audio should be every bit as good as your hardware interface is capable of recording.
