Hi guys
When i try to search for anything I get the error "index failed: database disk image is malformed" I have seen several threads for this on the forum but they seemed to be all windows users. I am on a mac with 8.2. with osx 10.6.8
Any of you have advice how to fix this please?

Im looking to recreate Logics bitcrusher clip level function in Ableton to trim transient spikes. I dont seem to be able to recreate this with redux or the other free crusshers Ive tried.
Compression or limiting isnt really giving me what im after either

Man, operator is a beast, I guess thats why I was so tempted by FM8......maybe being a bit lazy....quicker easier results (short term is that a bad thing?)
I guess my synthesis knowledge will be better for it.

much appreciated man, yeah i wasnt expecting to get a red2 preset
but just wanted to know if I had to buy a certain type of synth(or which) to achieve that sound, after whatever tweaking - that I at least started with the right one

Am in the position of trying to recreate a sound for a new track, but Im quite new to this and need pointing in the right direction Synth wise.
the sound(s) I am interested in are
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8EKnweNvwQ the repeating (Chicago piano?) @ 1:14 and the stab/pad @ 1:19

Ive been recommended in a tutorial to go with

The ting that I find the worst about Beatport is the heres a snippet on which you must judge the entire tune worthy of buying. Ive bought alot of duffs because of this.

Ok
Just starting out so got some VST goodness on the go. Namely the TAL stuff. now they provide a load of presets for the Bassline VST in fxb and fxp format.
Where do I place these files .....found the VST folder easy enough, cant find anything helpful on searching the tinterweb about the preset ...
