I didn't realize there was an "edit" button... I thought it was only available through menus and hotkeys. As long as it toggles, then I'm happy. Thanks!

I agree that more functionality is good.

And there definitely seems to be some wonkiness with bank/patch changes on clips. Maybe it's just the softsynths that I've tried to use it with.

But, Live certainly *does* support MIDI VST plugins, but not MFX plugins... so, yea, that would be good ...

Mapping one input to multiple actions.

For example, I want to midi-map one button on my midi controller to toggle six things on and off and launch a clip. Just from that one button.

For example, I want to midi-map on slider on my midi controller to affect the volume of three tracks at once.

Oops! Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your wishlist :) I misunderstood slightly. But, yea, if that would also work to scale midi controller input that would be great.

MIDI editor - momentary edit/draw mode switch

I'd like to have a modifier that will invert the "draw mode" option. For example, if I'm in draw mode and I want to move some notes around, it would save me some time and work if I could just hold shift to temporarily go into edit mode to select and drag some notes, then release shift and be back in ...

I second. Something as simple as "hold shift and rotate for fine increments" would be helpful. I have this problem because I run in a high resolution and my mouse sensitivity is set rather high with no accelleration (aka "increase mouse precision") options enabled. This is how I use my mouse and I ...

OMF! Yes! Even if it's a "this format doesn't support some of Live's features, are you sure?" Kind of thing.

Can Live run as a REWIRE slave? Wouldn't you be able to do it that way, e.g. run Logic, then run Live, then just record from a soloed Live track to a Logic track. I dunno, just a thought.

My guess is that they're referring to the swap file. You can change swap file settings, and http://www.musicxp.net/tuning_tips.php recommends that you manually fix your swap file size to be 2 times the size of your RAM. So if you have 1GB of ram, you would set your swap file size to 2GB (2,048 MB ...

Cleaner?

I'm curious why you would need to do this. I'm not implying that it's a bad idea, I just don't understand. What is the advantage of doing the mix in an external app? Is it just that you like Audition's EQ and compression better than Live's?
