how about midi mapping tempo and then creating a midi clip that sends that cc via midiyoke. Probably more difficult to implement than type- but i think is what I'd do if I was a precision head. I find it simpler to map controllers to tempo or tap it in. There was a post here that did show a setup l...

Thanks for pointing out the obvious which I've done all along.
A midi clip would allow me some other options to run my set lists for my band somewhat more efficiently in some ways, which isn't worth going into now in regards to my question.

Yes, this is the way I've been doing it for a few years. Each song you bring in will be different though. Some have all the instruments labeled, some don't, some are really well put together, some aren't, some are MIDI 0 files, some are MIDI 1 files. It's a learning curve to get it down, but once yo...

he-he, ofcourse we don't play 108 songs. That just gives us the opportunity to pick and choose at will through the night with the push of a pedal, which makes for a smoother running show. I did come up with one work around using midi-stroke though that went well last weekend. using a FCB1010 board I...

I use 2 scenes per song give or take a few in some songs. 1 live file containing 9 sets of 12 each - 108 songs total. We used to have 4-5 scenes per song so I could jump around the songs for the vocalist, but she has really gotten better and can go with the songs straight through and adapt if she da...

Actually thought about that but that gap would be tough to deal with live which is what this is used for. basically what is happening is that initial clip is sending a drum clip and the drummer when ready counts us in. I in turn fire up the rest of the clips in the scene so we all come in happily to...

work around with scene launching not starting all clips

Trying to figure a work around for this: within a scene I have 7 tracks containing a single clip on each track. I start the scene with a designated BPM which starts all the clips then. What I want to do is --> only start one of the tracks(clips) and not the others when starting the scene. Then, when...

We do this weekly and found it best to have instruments separated, especially the bass. The low end always changes room to room and we needed that separate to reEQ all the time. Keys, strings, guitar, etc are all mixed and could be run mixed down as one. Lastly we use horns here and there and keep t...

Happens to me from time to time. When I export from Logic Express it does that. I couldn't figure it out though. Curious to see the answer.
