Re: LIVE 8 PERFORMANCE TEST - Results Here

I was going to do the test, but I have an Input Buffer Size, which I cannot modify, and an Output Buffer Size, which I can modify.

What setting should I use on the Output Buffer Size?

I'm using the onboard audio of my motherboard, heh.

Re: Komplete 5 399 .. is it worth it?

Zzounds and Amazon have Komplete 7 for $499. Small discount, but a discount nontheless.

There's probably a benefit from buying it directly from NI, however.

Newbie Question - Bought Ableton Suite, now what?

I purchased the Ableton Suite and installed it. I'm a bit confused as to the Live Packs and other add-ons that I should, or shouldn't(?) install. I see some Live Packs have copyrights on them. What additional files do I need to download off the site to get the full version of the software with all i...

Re: Max Effects Yes - Examples of Instruments?

Of course there are differences, the main issue is that you can't build stand alone applications or 'collectives' and you can't use send~/receive~ to send audio data across patches. I'm not sure I understand this regarding sending audio data. Can you give me an example of when this would be done? T...

Re: Max Effects Yes - Examples of Instruments?

Thanks guys. I was referring to Max For Live in my original post. I am still researching. I like the idea of being able to create instruments simply from the computer, but then again maybe I should just get an Access Virus and have probably what I need. But I like programming, so it is intriguing. S...

Max Effects Yes - Examples of Instruments?

Max for Live is a visual programming environment that allows users to build instruments and effects for use within Ableton Live. I see many examples of effects that can be created by Max for Live, but not so many unique instruments. I don't consider a step sequencer to be an instrument, really, as ...

Upgrade from 7 Lite to 8, how to not lose tutorials?

Looks like when I installed the free upgrade from 7 to 8 I lost the tutorial files. How do I prevent this from happening?

Cannot Uninstall - APC40 Live 7.0.13 Win 7 64 bit

I installed and it locked up the computer to the point where I had to hit the reset button. Computer came back up and I reinstalled, this time successfully. I attempted to uninstall and I get the error "Invalid Install.log". I tried going to the command prompt, change directory to the 'Install' fold...
