Re: Better support for Yamaha 01x

After learning that it is the software manufacturer that has to provide support for a given control surface i would like to ask for better support for the Yamaha 01x.

I also use 01x and would be very glad with better support.

This is a frustrating fact of racks, as soon as you assing a function to a rack knob, it goes to zero. I hate that too, +1 for changing it. In the meantime, just take a second to remember what the value was before you assign the knob, that's what I do.

Too bad...............

I was planning to ...

macro controls jump to zero

Hi,

I am experimenting with the demo version of live 6 (I own 5.2 and want to try out 6 before buying).

When constructing an instrument-rack and assigning parameters to macros's, the parameters in the instrument jump to zero, and also the macrovalues are zero, so the preset changes!

move clips forward/backward in arrange view

Dear forum members,

As far as I know one can only move clips forward/backward in arrange view using the mouse.
I do as much as I can with shortcuts (key commands).
I cannot find a way to move clips in arrange view with shortcuts.
I use Live5.2 and looked in Live6-demo too, but could not find a ...

set insertmarker to song position

I wish a keycommand for "set insertmarker to song position".
I often scroll in the arrangement with the scrollwheel of my midi-controller, to reach the spot from where I want playback to start. Pressing start however starts playback from the insertmarker, not from songposition-line. Therefor a ...

Re: record last take...

Logic has the feature where there is a MIDI record buffer always running, you can set your loop locators and just jam along and as long as you stop playing before the loop cycles around, you can press a key and it'll print what you just played as though you had the record button pressed.:^)

I ...

triggering long held midinotes on other time than starttime

In the arrange view I often use long evolving PAD sounds (played by mididevices), lying under the recorded clip loops.
When refining the arrangement I experience the inconvenience of long held midi notes not being played unless I start playback before the start of that particular note.
In other ...

key commands for moving clips in arrange view

I need key commands for moving clips in arrange view.
In clip view notes can be moved with the arrows.
I need something like that for the clips in arrange view (moving by quantize values)
