legato-style for scene follow actions?

After using Live for several years, I'm finally getting around to checking out follow actions for scenes. I'm still a bit mystified after searching the forum.

The follow action timing is based solely on the bar-beat-16ths setting in the "Follow Action" field. It seems that, for a scene with a 1.0.0 ...

Depending on the quality of condenser, I would think they'd be able to take the SPL. Like any good drum mic would. I know the Sennheiser MKH series can take a lot.

But, I've never recorded a gong before. Wow. Dynamic and frequency range. Sounds like fun! Good luck.

Definitely wouldn't use a ribbon ...

many times, you'll have to adjust the results of Live's auto-warp, which usually means resetting the 1.1.1 downbeat. for stuff with strong beats for auto-warp to detect, this is probably all you'll need to do. for further adjustment, you can right-click on the 1.1.1 marker and try a number of ...

Ok thanks... so with the advice i follow that "your drums should be mono" - that means i use mono samples, but can still pan them however i please. Aslong as the individual hits dont have stereo spread..

Don't know about this "your drums should be in mono" advice. It doesn't sound good to me ...

Im trying to change my kicks and snares to Mono like you're supposed to! I have no returns running back to stereo. Not fimiliar with this function in ableton compared to the other daw's. I read that all tracks in ableton are in stereo by default if im not correct..

you might be conflating two ...

you'll find the setting you want in the Filter/Global tab, to the bottom left of the volume envelope: Vol<Vel.

are you sending the same track to any fx returns? a stereo return might be masking what the Utility device is doing.
