Hi,
Sometimes when I have an idea/inspiration, I record something in Ableton (from an external hardware synth or microphone), without properly setting the tempo/metronome in Ableton.
I then put this audio clip in loop. Since it doesn't match the Ableton tempo (still set to 120.00), the loop ...

Re: Which video format is ok with Ableton Live 11?
I'm on PC. I never used PhotoJPEG, it seems to be far less common than the very classical H264.
Do you know why H264 doesn't work on Live 11?
Is there a way to make it work?

Which video format is ok with Ableton Live 11?
Hi,
I tried to drag and drop a few videos into Ableton 11, but either the video preview is a black square and only the sound track is available in Live, or nothing is available and we can see the error message "Could not be read. It may be corrupt or not licensed" . However the .mp4 is fully ...

Reopening this topic with some interesting news!

Re: ableton live looper latency issue..
The problem is that the looper can't compensate for the soundcard latency when monitoring is set to IN/Auto, and as you see, there is no audio to the looper when monitoring is set to OFF... So, you could try to lower your soundcard latency a bit more if possible. The issue will still be there but ...

Re: Looper + Latency when recording with Monitor IN or AUTO
Does a monitored signal have latency? Yes - any signal in a computer based environment is going to have a certain amount of latency.
I'm not speaking about the direct monitoring latency... I'm speaking about something else (see my first message).
Also when using the "Looper" device, you have ...

Re: Looper + Latency when recording with Monitor IN or AUTO
When should the monitor be set to "Off"?
If you're using direct monitoring . Direct monitoring is a function of certain audio interfaces that allows you to monitor directly through the interface in order to reduce latency.
Yes for sure, my hardware external audio interface has direct monitoring ...

I have read a few pages of this topic, but I want to be sure to not miss something:
Is there a trick (option in a hidden config file?) to disable the AVX2 performance improvements, and make Live 12 run on a Intel i5 less than 5th generation? :)

Looper + Latency when recording with Monitor IN or AUTO
Hi,
(1) With Live 11 or below, it is well known that recording when Monitor is set to IN or AUTO implies that the recording will contain unwanted latency. (See for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PT5mD2Zd7F8).
So the solution is 1) either set Monitor to OFF when recording or 2) keep ...

Re: When should "Keep latency" be enabled?
No, I gave a counter example
Thanks for your answer.
I don't exactly get it... (maybe also because it's too late and too tired)
Can you give your counter example scenario as a step-by-step reproducible example?
Example:
1 Start with a blank project
2 Add an Audio track with ...
3 Add an ...
