Re: CPU Usage from big instrument rack

Hi, I'm using the latest beta. I did a bit more testing and found there actually is a reduction in cpu if I turn off devices in the chain, it's just so negligible that I missed it in the 1st test. I had always done that, in my midi chains, but was in the process of cutting over from using BOMES MT a...

CPU Usage from big instrument rack

I have 3 midi tracks in my Live set, (on top of 6 audio tracks). 2 of these consist of instrument racks where I have multiple plugins which can get selected via a chain selector for changing the instruments I play and record live keys in different tracks. I was always led to believe that if you swit...

You could use M4L to disable the delete button
The perfect things already exists here:
http://www.maxforlive.com/library/devic ... 1905#12893

And it has an override factility to reenable the delete when I need it!

Re: Disable Track Delete

@jur agreed... the tricky thing is working out exactly what I have done when I do delete the track....to make sure I avoid that. Or probably working out all those occasions I do need to press delete, and make those even more conscious decisions. ...actually you have me thinking now with your referen...

Re: Disable Track Delete

Yo ucan press undo, provided you realise it as it happens. IN the middle of a live set, unless you are actively using that instrument at the time, you could be way down the track (sic)....as I was. I tried a few (many) undos, but it was taking me into crazy land with all sorts of parameter change sb...

Disable Track Delete

Anyone have any ideas how this might be achieved. Whilst it's happened a few times in rehearsal and in live Facebook feeds, on the weekend for the 1st time it happened in the middle of my friggin live set..... I deleted one of my main Midi tracks, one that I do 50% of my live keyboard playing with, ...

Access Push2 button presses in m4l

I'm wanting to be able to register when the clip or device button is pressed on my push2. The intention is to have a Cntrl/Alt L key press sent every time that happens, to hide the detail view. In the middle of my live set, if I happen to need to press clip or Device, the detail screen on the laptop...

Re: How to DISABLE Arm on Select in options.txt

There's something about posting about an issue that immediately has me solving it for myself. I just worked out that I am on the Beta path with Live and I've had a few upgrades since I set the options.txt. So, I needed to go into the latest version and edit that one. Just did that, and saved an opti...

How to DISABLE Arm on Select in options.txt

Hi, I enabled arm on select (by adding the line -EnableArmOnSelect) to the options.txt file. Worked great. Now I wish to disable it as I do not want this behaviour for my Live set-up (will just use it when producing). Any ideas how to disable it. I tried saving a new options file without the above l...

Arrangement View Battles - any tips?

I'm wondering if anyone has any tips to streamline the workflow when in the arrangement view. I'm a recent Live adoptor (for production...been using it for Live work for a while), having cutover from Cubase and there're a few things I'm battling with. Any tips would be greatly appreciated: 1) Keyboa...

Re: CPU load from native Ableton EQ vs Fabfilter Q2 - SURPRISING

@stromkroft that is much more the results I expected. I wonder if it has anything to do with the number of bands selected (I used 8), and the fact that I used a 4x low cut on the EQ8 but don't think I selected the same for the Fabfilter...will have a quick additional test. I suspect that as @artcute...
