Great- thanks for the reply. Think I'm going to have to read it a few times before I understand it (but that's a function of my brain, rather than your answer!)
Cheers,
Paul

Hi all.
Trying to record a DJ set from 1210s into Ableton via a Behringer UCA 202. Not working..
I have:

Routing 4 separate tracks through a mixer- how to set up?
Audio routing question for y'all.
I have Ableton, and APC 40, laptop, 2 CDJs, 2 1200s and a 4-channel DJM 600.
What I want to do is have one of each CDJ and 1200 to each channel, but then also have 4 tracks of ableton routed through the same 4 channels (using the phono/line switch to flick between ...

Re: Warping frustration
Hey,
Just tried that method, and it worked as well as using "Warp from here (straight)".
However, I still got the same problem, i.e. timeline hugely expanding and BPM setting to '5' when I try to click and drag a transient to fix small drifts in tempo.
If I don't reply again, it's cos the laptop ...

Re: Warping frustration
Cool- thanks Simon, I will give that a go.
However, it still seems a little laborious:
Anyone else out there have ideas as to why I am the steps I outlined are causing the timeline to go wacko and my Seg. BPM set itself to 5?
Cheers,
Paul

Warping frustration
Folks- i *think* I am doing the same thign everythig I try to warp, but am getting an intermittent, but consistant error.
Using v 8.0.4, the steps I am taking to warp (really pretty constant tempo) electronic music are:
1) Load file
2) Find first downbeat, create warp marker here
3) Right click ...

Hi all.
If anyone has seen this before, and could offer a potential solution, it would be much appreciated.
Have not had this problem before, and have tried to configure files in all different ways I can think of: external HD through USB hub / external HD through main USB port / files moved on to ...

Re: What in the devil's britches?!
Thanks for the reply David.
Live 8 is the first version I've used, so it's the only method I know. As far as I can see, I am following the manual to the letter.
All I am trying to do is left click and drag a transient so that a beat aligned perfectly with one of the major numbers on the grid ...

Re: Help- I CAN NOT warp!
Hey- thanks both for the (extremely beginner's) tips. Much appreciated.
I have since found this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxlrL8YYsvk which I found much more accessable and useful than all the others I have viewed put together.
Hopefully this can help others with the same problem ...

Help- I CAN NOT warp!
Hi all.
Completely new at Live, wanting to use it to DJ. Been using vinyl and CDJs for over 10 years, but (after weeks) can't put the simplest of mixes together as can't get the hang of warping- songs always go out of time.
