My first feature request!
My way of doing things with live, I move through many different live sets in a performance. I know I'm not the only one who does this! I've seen it done at live shows, usually by musicians who play in bands and use Live for DSP and guitar effects synths etc. So this ...

Same problem here with my new axiom 61 2nd gen. Help pls.

Can anyone from ableton let us know if they are working to sort this out or not? I'm pretty close to selling my brand new axiom over this.

Its definitely a bug in 8.2 since we are all having the same issue. DirectLink don't work. It used to in the last version. FIX IT PLEASE ABLETON!

Yeah directLink was working for me in the last version, and suddenly after installing 8.2 it don't work no more. Ableton, fix this ASAP please?

mididiot - How do you assign the program changes to the plug-ins through live?

I think I have figured out the best setup for now, which is to just have grouped tracks, one group per song, that way between songs, I just go re-arm the new group and disarm the last one ...

woo false alarm, figured out how to midi map everything. I just didn't have it set up right in prefs.

Now a new problem, the encoders are way to slow. I switched the acceleration curves to the fastest and they are still slow. I need a much more 1 to 1 turning ratio, like one whole turn of the knob ...

The lesson is there, although it is clearly still beta, they don't refer to the control surface as DirectLink...
But either way, they say which encoders do what etc ...

I just picked up the axiom 61 mkII, not realizing how different it was from the last generation. I got directlink working, but I have no idea how to work it :( and for some reason none of the knobs can be midi assigned, anybody know whats up with that?

I make a back-up of the original ensemble and save it somewhere safe (a folder within my ensembles folder). Then I point the auto-save to the original file, that way, whatever snapshots I add while working in ...

I have been using reaktor for a bit, and just bought ableton, everything seems to be working nicely.
One thing that has me confused though is the auto-saving in reaktor. Any reaktor users around here have any suggestions?
What are the advantages to auto-saving instead of just bypassing that ...
