Yes to both. The preamps aren't the world's finest, but the effects are quite nice, and they will do the job any d.i. box will do. Latency also, for me, on a g4 powerbook, is very good. It's really a handy contraption, and all with one wire! Coolness on toast!

You basically get a K-station built in. Check out the specs on the website for any differences from the K-station. Novation has a certain sound that people either love or don't...I love it, it can sound kind of cold and icy. I don't think there is a controller on the market that gives you more bang ...

Perhaps Ableton could work directly with DJ Mildstyle and create a "virtual DJ" program with the DJ modeled after Mildstyle himself. They could make it like a video game...make Mild cut and scratch...make Mild hit on clubgirl...make Mild hi-five imaginary friends...make Mild type cryptic posts ...
