USB Headphones

I've seen a few online before, and they seem like a cool idea. The soundcard on my laptop doesn't work, so I have to use a bulky USB soundcard and then plug my headphones into it which gets to be a major pain. I've been considering getting some, but I've never seen any in stores or in person. Has ...

If you're using a plug-in to do it, what about resampling the audio of it slowing down? That should solve it and you could do away with the plug-in after that.

You could always record the MIDI playing into an audio track and then reverse it that way it if you don't need the physical MIDI programming to be in reverse.

As glu said, your best bet would be to get a Macbook, or even a Macbook Pro and run XP on that. Even with maxed out RAM and an after-market 7200RPM hard drive, you'd still be saving quite a bit of money.

Hit record on the first track. Press and hold control and then click record on any additional track you want to record. I just realized this the other day and I couldn't believe I never knew about it before.

Maybe go to a mall or anywhere that you're likely to find a crowd and record the people around you. That'd work especially well if your computer has a mic built in. That way it'd be your own sample too, which I always find more rewarding.

I've done it a few times and it's come out pretty decent every time. Just make sure to spend a bit of time moving the mics around and doing small audition tracks until you get everything sounding real good.

Oh maaan. I was really thinking about getting the black one, but now these posts about them flaking and getting dirty is kind of a turn off (and ironic since you'd think white would be the one to get dirty). I think I may get the same one that you bought. I doubt there's much difference between the ...

Yes! I love the new keyboard. I don't know if it's a mental thing because it looks cooler, but it felt really nice. I like it a lot better.

Scientist, numbers aside, how is your computer performing while in Live? Any skips or stalling?

Try switching the octaves. I can't remember off the top of my head which range it has to be in, but it will only work within a certain octave. Press "x" or "z" a few times to switch up or down and it'll work.

I can't wait to go check one of these out. The price is at exactly what I was hoping for, but nowhere near what I was expecting.

Thanks stinky. I probably should have mentioned that my computer is a laptop. Looks like I'll just deal with it for now and put that money towards getting a new computer. I didn't know about the whole cache thing. I really don't know too much about processors and what makes one better than the other.

I think that I'm going to get a gig chip of RAM and see how it works. My computer is far from great, but I'm hoping that will speed it up a bit to hold me over.
