ya me too! i can't even use 8.2.1 try 8.2 its fast and rock solid on my dell, xp sp2 2gigs ram 1.67 ghz intel dual core.

im having the same exact problem on win xp. 8.2.1 wont even open, but 8.2 is rock solid. ive invested so much time and money into ableton though i just keep trying, ive done 7 install-uninstall-reinstall both win versions with/without content and nothing just hangs and freezes after checking package ...

to install and open live 8.2.1.
