I played a bit more with it yesterday and you can actually have the 4 programs for knobs too ! The 4 program knobs can either control all the same instrument/effect or you can map only two knobs to instrument 1, 2 others in the same program to a different inst/eff.

I ordered an Akai MPK Mini for working on remote, but after one week of toying around with the soft, I think I will need a more serious controller for working at home.

As the the apc, it really makes using live a whole lot more fun. So if you like live, get the apc40 and live lite first. Upgrades can come later, as I'm sure you will probably buy more gear as you go along your music venture.
