I'm searching for a way to crossfade between scenes too. Ideally, launching a new scene would initiate a crossfade (of a user-defined duration) from the previous scene. Yes. I don't see any Live classes on the schedule, but a fellow called Gustavo Lanzas does classes in the Lower Haight at Robotspeak web: http://www.robotspeak.com. He also does private consulting and tutoring.

Yup. As you have ascertained I'm using OSX.3.5 (inputs on 2408 *are* seeing input). Sounds like you can recreate the same issue so I'll await an update or a work-around. btw - 'don't have 4.0.1 but this definitely was not issue w 3.x.

Live 4 is so ...

Live (4.0.3) will not see any audio coming from my 2408mk3. How do I set this up? In Prefs> Settings>Channel Config, settings other than "Input 1 & 2" do not stick (I need it to be on 9 & 10 but it always reverts to 1 & 2 when I close the Settings window).

Audio From is set to Ext. In.

I wish there were a way to pad clips with a bar (or two or three...) of silence so I could have a one bar clip on two bar loop. So a crash clip with a one bar pad at the end ,for example, would only sound on every other bar. And/or a fill with a one bar pad at the beginning, for example, would only ...

Thanks. Everything else in Live is so intuitive. Seems weird that something so basic is such a hassle.

I also figured out another way but it's ugly. By manipulating a warp marker at the very end of the crash sample you can make the last 32 note slice last one bar. But of course that added bar ...

Yes, I figured that out too. You can also bus those tracks to an aux for easier mixing.

No, I'm talking about a completely different concept. I want to be able to play/record my guitar while listening to a slowed (and pitched) down session. Then when the session is brought back to normal speed and pitch my guitar will sound faster (and higher of course).

How about real tape-style vari-speed. So one could slow down/speed up the entire session with the pitch going along with it like a real tape would do.
