I'm managing to do it with one stereo output... it just means mixing and cueing in mono.

I'm using two single to double phono adapters in my L/R soundcard outputs and plugging each set of phono leads into seperate channels in my mixer... Keep the volume up on the channel for the master out, and ...

Stretchy / Distorted sound when tracks tempo increased....

I was wondering how to turn off pitch lock to stop the horrible stretchy sound you get when a track has been warped and played at a higher/lower bpm???

It's probably really obvious but I can't see anything.

Thanks

Sorted it out now... it was my first attempt so was just getting used to everything!!

The problem was I was assuming the warping was correct to the end of every track... with some of them the warp markers were a bit out towards the end!!

Thanks :)

I'll try playing around with the warp markers then!!

Any idea why it sometimes stops recording tracks?

Djing with live - a few little problems....

Hi everyone, I've figured out the basics of how to dj using live...

The only problem is that it always sounds like the beatmatching is just out. I know this is bound to happen as you can't tell the exact peak of the kick just by looking at the wave form... how can you nudge a track slightly to fix ...

I did do that, and it was still saying I had no soundcards in the pc.

I had to install the M-audio software again!

I uninstalled both, now my pc is saying there are no soundcards...

Maybe my onboard soundcard just doesn't work when another soundcard is being used??

I've installed asio4all, but it's only showing one soundcard. It's like installing the M-audio soundcard has just taken my onboard soundcard away.

Any idea how I could get the old soundcard running?

Thanks

Forgot to add....

I have an M-audio audiophile 2469 and a standard pc soundcard.

I can't seem to get any output from the standard pc soundcard, it seems that the M-audio card has taken over the other soundcard completely.

Djing with 2 soundcards + mixer (no midi controller)

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to set ableton up to DJ using 2 soundcards and a mixer (not a midi mixer)

I'd like to be able to have my 2 soundcards hooked up to my mixer and be able to hear two tracks at the same time but coming through seperate channels etc.

Thanks :)
