i have 8gb on ram (brand new laptop, and am rarely running multiple apps when producing. i'll send a bug report to ableton. maybe it's a specific plug in that is draining it.

Recently several of my sessions have crashed and the errors say "out of memory." Most are large sessions, but I'm rarely pushing over 40% cpu power, and am pretty diligent about freezing/ flattening tracks with 3rd party vst's.

MAC OS 10.8 (happenes on 10.7 too)

Does anybody know if the Keith McMillen softstep is compatible with OS 10.8 in LIve 8?
The SSCOM ports don't show up in Live's Midi pref's, so it's not receiving any midi messages,

anyone notice that the output of the looper tends to be a little louder than the actual audio going in? is there any way to reconfig this?

It doesn't happen to any particular set. It occurs randomly. The cut and paste options are greyed out in the menu...

Anybody have an issue where sometimes your session won't allow you to cut copy or paste? It's wierd. It will allow me to cut and paste time and duplicate but that's all. I have to re-start live to get it to work.

I'm running an ableton set that has a line in running thru it for a live guitar. No fx are being used on the this channel, as it is pre-processed via outboard gear. I'm essentially running it through so that I can occassioally gate my gtr to drum tracks.

Anybody know how to do this? I am running ableton into a midisport and have "sync on" in my midi out settings. can't seem to get the echoplex to recognize it.

anyone know how to convert an mp3 or wav file to a windows media file- .wma, .wmv or .asf for MAC OSX?

no max and mix levels in the midi pane for clip quantization menu....all we got is hot keys on the cpu.

any ideas on how to assign specific quantizations on the apc 40 (ie: nudge left button= 1 bar, nudge right= 1/4)

got my apc40...all in all an A+ in my book....except....

there's no built in mechanism for changing your scene trigger quantization, which is a major requirement!

It'd be nice to have some kinda of hot key type set up to toggle back and forth between two or three settings.

I know you ...

nevermind...just gotta re-map to get those to work.
