Re: Automation delay blabla, has it been fixed?

What is the main difference between Nuendo and Cubase workflow you say? And yes, don't want to spend a half year shifting App, then it will be almost useless anyway... Except for schetching.

Re: Automation delay blabla, has it been fixed?

Okey ill check cubase out. But i just wondered, i really want to be able to just use Ableton, cause ive really gotten to like it so far, though i have not really "used it" yet, as i feel kinda lost compared to what im used to. So do you think Ableton will fix this anytime soon? And for those of you ...

Re: Automation delay blabla, has it been fixed?

Ive used Ableton for five days, but i was planning on buying suite and i've been beginning to mentally try to do the shift, reading a whole lot of things, playing with it and trying to figure out the workflow. But if this hasnt been fixed or is not going to be fixed anytime soon, then bye bye Live ...

Automation delay blabla, has it been fixed?

I stumbled upon some threads that autiomation and 3:d party plugins and Ableton = big no no. That things will get all messed up and out of sync. This made me feel i should not try to learn Ableton anymore, and move to something that works (i do alot of automation) when now i am moving from Reason ...

Re: why does reason 4 sound so much better than live 7?

I just started fiddeling with Live, i have only worked with Reason Record. As for now i find it hard to do a song in Live, but thats perhaps because i have so much to learn. So i did a quick song in Reason, and saved out every track on its own, and imported it to Live, and i felt just the opposite ...

Re: question on effects routing

I started with Ableton yesterday, but think you should turn the send to "pre" and only send to the effect track. Or how it works in ableton. I dont have it infront of me now.

Re: My computer should be pretty good, but latency is not...

Type: WDM

tldr

but seems like your problem right there

you need to figure out if there is an asio driver mode for your audio interface.

in layman's terms, "wdm" driver means that your computer is running your audio through various systems which might be adequate for listening to the sound ...

Moving from Reason/Record (first impressions and questions)

Hi! I thought it was time to step out of the limitations of propellerheads closed systems. And Ableton seemed like the best alternative, Cubase and Logic seemed to heavy and to broad, trying to suit all kinds of musicians, not only, or foremost, electronic ones.

And i'm glad, i made my first song ...

My computer should be pretty good, but latency is not...

:? Hi! I think there's something strange about my latency values. I think i have a "top notch" computer and as I understand it (?) the sound card should not affect latency significantly, if you don't record audio (as long as you have asio drivers). Therefore, I don't understand why I need such a big ...
