I'm using a axiom 49 keyboard on my windows pc, and when
i power it up, sometimes windows tells me "usb devices not recognized", then
i leave it powered until windows recognizes it, but after some usage the keyboard drops again and i lose the control on live.

A signal: the screen flashes, like ...

get a axiom dude, it's just impressive with ableton, works like a charm for me

Reaktor is something you really need to put your hands on, whatever you need.

Worth its cost, get it.

Edirol orchestra too and Steinberg Hypersonic 2 has some cool patches.

I discovered live a week ago, i was using cubase/sonar/reason and now i don't use
them anymore, live has everything i need and it does his job better than the others.

Why ?

Usability.
Nothing is comparable to Live's usability and ease of use, a small example:

Reason can't slave anything, he's a selfish music studio and cannot load external apps/vsts, just samples and patches for his instruments.

Rewiring reason to live is easy and easy:

- Open Live
- Open Reason
- Go to Session view and create a MIDI track
- Select reason from the "MIDI To" Selectbox ...
