Hey guys I got a weird problem, Ive been producing for years and not quite sure what this is yet, I haven't seen it before.

I made a house track in ableton mastered it threw it into Serato that goes out to my Ecler Nuo4 and back into my presonous sound card and out through my studio speakers ...

Oh ya Im using Live 5.2

I can't believe I spent all this money on a Macbook Pro and I now have to record in BootCamp :(

When I record audio through my Firewire Presonous FireBox the audio skips and crackels. In order to get it clear I have to put the buffer all the way to the right at 2048 samples. Then latency is way too ...

Yep I think it's defective, I will take it back to the store and test out another one.

Sorry for the confusion I was mainly focussing ont he MPD not the Elcler. I rarely use it on the windows side so I probably do need drivers.

Just got Live 6 from Bit torrent.

whats so great about this upgrade? I need the dual core support and the deep freeze would def be handy, but what else does it got? I don't use the effects within Live all that much. With the extra features it should of had some of those little things anyhow.

why couldn't they just include it in an update of 5.2?

I have read that version 6 supports multiple processors, does that mean that my Mac book pro which has a dual core running live 5.2 is only utilizing one core of the chip and to use the both cores I must upgrade to 6?

Any tips for installing vst pluggins?

Some I installed just turn up and others don't.

What directory should they be installed into?

I tried installing them into the Steinberg/vst folder and I tried making an alias shortcut within the vst folder to where the pluggin is actually installed ...

There is no reason for this, but Windows Xp will see my device (Akai Mpd24 and Elcer Nuo4) But ableton will not recognise it as a midi input? I am running 5.2.



IT does see it on my mac no problem but not in Windows Xp,

Any Ideas?

fyi I have done the tutorials and read parts of the manual, I don't remember that little handy tip. Just having a difficult time grasping the concept of Live still.

Hey My Live is stuck in demo mode. Even if I hide the operator in settings and restart, its always in demo mode??

Any hints?
