thanks guys

i could use sends and returns fine in live 5 yet in live 6, the return tracks have the A and B rotarys greyd off. i've looked at the manual and couldn't find anything that helped. does anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

thanks for not being so harsh to me for asking such a simple question. i did look in the manual but obviously not hard enough. right i'm off to get some stutters back into my beats. thanks guys!

i know its a really stupid question but its been bugging me for a while now.
can't seem to find out where to change the 1/16th note input. sorry for the such a standard question!

i would say that turning up the gain is not a very good idea for the long run because of how badly it degrades the sound. i agree with njh, asio driver would be way forward.

don't get the edirol fa101.
great soundcard but mac osx driver is rubbish. i think that could be the case with most soundcards for the intel macs at the moment.

i can't save my changes to the audiomidi setup which is really annoying! and apparently quite a common problem.

yeh your right that did sound pretty bad.

i thought i was after something pretty random like livecut but then i feel like i'm cheating a bit so i made a full u-turn back to just automating beat repeat to get it just right.

not that that is justifying it! only just bought live so your right i do ...

beat repeat is probably the best option for it.
don't know why i didn't think of that to start off with!

nope doesn't invaildade warranty. its not too expensive to have it put in when they build it though. my advice is cheap it on the harddrive and get as much ram because its actaully cheaper to get an external harddrive.
since buying my mac though using my pc seems tedious.

really hope they get it out soon. ordered it with student discount and have to wait for them to get one before i get an unlock code.
