I'm trying to share some Impulse presets I've made with several other Live users.
Unfortunately I can't find them! I've looked in the Ableton folder in Program Files (I'm on a PC), but they're not there.
Anyone else know?

Yes it does have to be virtual, and I'm only really interested in hearing about samplers that people have had a good experience with in Live!

IMO those methods dont really cut it;

1. This can only work if you're not using any vst or vsti plugins, as these are unavailable when Live is used in Rewire mode. I dont actually know about pro tools because I don't own a copy, but in Nuendo you can't record the incoming rewire channels. You'd ...

There are problems with the above 2 methods;
1. There's no way to import a Live session into Pro Tools
2. When Live is used as a rewire slave, you can't use vst plugins in Live, so if you're song contains any, this is not an option for you.

I don't seem to be able to assign the keys 1234567890 to trigger clips.
Or the slightly weird keys (;'#,./[] etc.).
Also, the F keys are hard wired to channel mutes.

If you open a vsti synth and play it using the computer keyboard, great. If you already have the keyboard assigned (eg. to trigger clips), not so great. Live tries to do both, but there's a long pause now before you hear a note from your synth.
Has anyone tried this out?

Thanks for the advice. Yet another volume control is often easy to miss!
Sadly in this case, its not the answer, I've just re-checked it all and theres nothing left to turn up!
Sticking a multiband compressor over the master helps keep it all as loud as it can be, but its not really a solution.
