Is the 48Khz bug with Fxpansion guru fixed by anyn chance?
I've filed a bug report some time ago and the latest news I received was that you guys were working together with Fxpansion to isolate the problem.

Problem description:

When trying to load Fxpansion Guru on Ableton 8.04 @ a samperate of ...

Sorry but ABleton 8 isn't even out yet.

And furthermore, why ask for a feature in a next major version while other companies offer big new functionality in minor versions.

You would want clip automation in 8.5, not in 9!! |(Or do you have too much money?)

I encountered the same. It's certainly a big amount of money but they do mention it in the license agreement.

What can you do really?

Hmmmm define loyal. Live is a great product but the update pricing seems to become steeper with every release.

Also if you compare the price for Ableton Suite and compare this to Cubase 4(5) and Logic Studio you can only conclude that pricing is a bit steep compared to the featureset and included ...

I'd say try massive, Fabfilter Twin or Circle (future audio workshop).

My wishlist:

More flexible audio editting in arrangement (look at cubase 4(also for other arrange functionality!). Cubase is a bugfest, but functionality wise it might be one of the best packages out there (besides it being ugly and all).

Since version 1.0: Midi editor that can compete with any ...

Cool! it works....not sure if it's hands on enough to be usable in a production but the idea is really really cool.

I also have the padKontrol hack running and both do have some immense potential.

Guys, it seems you can still drag'n drop the instrument without replacing the effects when you drag it to the top of the old instrument to the plugin-devices-view. This change seems only to be when you drag the new instrument on top of the actual track, not the previous plugin in the plugin-view ...

Nooo!!! I voted for a modifier key but let the modifier choice be the one replacing the whole device. Default should still be just replacing the instrument IMO!

I would call this a workaround and not a fix. But i guess a fix would involve some actions by Novation.

Not to worry, i'm having problems like this with a Quadcore 3Ghz Intel cpu.

It's related to Live7 being buggier than anything i've seen in years.

I'm finally making a bit of progress with the Native Mode - It's really cool, EVERY control on the PadKontrol sends sysex when in Native mode... that's right, you can turn this 16 pad controller with two knobs into a 35 pad controller with 3 knobs, one of which is an endless encoder :-D
