scott Herren (aka prefuse) still uses his MPC, at least for performance. I performed at a show with him last year. Considering how epic his recorded work has been I found his performance underwhelming. He pretty much doubled beats on his mpc to a soundtrack that could of been playing out of itunes ...

I play live with the MPC 1000. I will be switching to the Linndrum 2 when it is released. I suggest all those fed up with the fragility of Live in a live setting to switch to this machine once it is released as well.

There's no question. I played before Prefuse at a concert this summer. You wanna know what he uses on stage? An MPC and an Evolver. Opened for lowfish the other day and he's using an Evolver as well. They're the best ...

Not exactly. Almost. There were a lot of things that BSD was doing that OS X doesn't. And no, OS X is not BSD, nor is it Linux, though they are all UNIX. Darwin is only partly derived from BSD.

To each their own. I love Linux, too bad live ain't on it. Loved BSD, too bad it's dead. I use XP on my Macbook. It's all the same stuff. Just letting people know what's happening with the platform many of us use. Cheers.
