CLAP can modernise plugin development. For instance programming languages Rust, Golang and others can be used for plugins, not only C++.
Ableton, here is your chance. Being always modern and versatile is a hard goal, but I hope it will happen and happen not too late.

@rocknrory thanks for reporting. I've got exactly same issue and same fix. So did you find a workaround to use Reference plugin?

Re: Live 9 Performance Test
Yes, you are right. All the cores were used. But we are not sure if there was highest cpu performance during the test. Maybe there is Unix check from the Terminal or application for current frequency rate? I can guess that turbo was not used. It seems it was at 2.8 Ghz and not at 4 Ghz. For example ...

Re: Live 9 Performance Test
Hi guys,
Did someone tested HQ processor of Macbook Pro?
I mean 2014 Macbook 15-inch 2.6 or 2.8 ghz
i7-*HQ 2600 MHz (4 cores) or i7-*HQ 2800 MHz (4 cores)
I'm planning to buy this macbook next month.

Re: Pinky M4L - HELP
Hi guys,
Where can I get max patch for pinky? I have an old version of pinky and got the same error in my new 64bit music system. Can anyone give me the link or share the patch? Is there only way to buy this patch (in case pinky is not required)?

Great! It's like secret for me.infernal.machine wrote:You can delete the stop button on the scene below the one with the effect. Then, when you trigger the next scene, all the other tracks will switch, but the one with the effects will continue.

Switching scenes without cutting
Hi,
Why Ableton cutting audio effects (drops) when switching scenes? Is it possible to keep some audio effects playing until the end (if loop mode is off)? Can anyone suggest me good option here? I have many drops prepared for my production. Do you think is it better to cut clip in to two parts ...

Re: importing and then exporting mp3 - does it affects sound?
Thanks guys. Maybe I was not very clear.
I want to prepare mp3 tracks for mixing by adding some extra loops at the beginning and at the end.
For example:
<extra loop><--------------original mp3 track-------------><extra loop>
Is it affects original mp3 track? Approximately, how much when doing it ...

importing and then exporting mp3 - does it affects sound?
Hi,
If I move mp3 file to arrangement, set track volume to 0.0db and then export will this affect the sound?
What about normalize function, khz, peaks?
For example if I want just extend the track what options do I need to choose to keep original part not affected?

Re: Ableton lagging - Is this one core for one track issue?
Generally speaking, with Live it gets problematic when you're reaching 450-500% in osx activity monitor. But it can vary a lot depending on what plugins are used. That's what I observed by doing tests, though, but I've never reached such high performances in real scenarios even on very large ...

About racks, do you mean layered sounding?
Yes, layering different instruments. Or effects, or making weird crazy signal routing (tip : have a look at compressor, or gate, sidechain. Turn on the little headphone button and choose a signal source... yes, this way you can pick any signal from ...
