that's funny...the issue with sound coming out of only one side of the speakers has to do with the audio coming in on 2 channels. you need to adjust it (probably) to 1 or 2 instead of 1/2...i had the same problem and it worked for me.

as for the volume thing, i'm still lost. the m-audio i'm using ...

Ok - I work tons of hours and don't have a lot of time to learn all of Ableton and home recording on my own. I have a bunch of songs I just want to record (nothing too elaborate- keys, beats, voice) but I definitely need some help getting started.

haven't done the upgrade yet, but still.

I tried freezing some tracks that looked like they might be causing the peaking but nothing is helping.

I thought that if you purchased Live 5, you could get the update 5.2 for free. Is this not the case?

After I downloaded 5.2 to my Mac, before I could use it, it prompted me for a new serial number for the 5.2 which I didn't have. Where do I get it?

I know this is a little late to be talking about best Live Shows of 2005, but Queen Adreena at CMJ in NYC tore the roof off of Arlene's. Katie Jane and Crispin were magnificent!

Long story short - I dont know if it's the M-AUDIO or Live 5 but I am not getting any sound or a signal in the midi-track indicator when I press the keys of my keyboard. It worked once or twice about a month ago, but it hasn't worked since.

My set up:
